Our Research Group Publishes New Study on Epigenetic Mechanisms in Pediatric Leukemia

Our research group is pleased to announce the publication of our latest paper, "Histone Methyltransferase and Demethylase Gene in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A Molecular Insights," in the international journal Trends in Sciences. This study offers a comprehensive analysis of how epigenetic regulations (specifically histone methylation) influence the development and progression of Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), which remains the most common malignancy in children.

Our recent paper on histone-modifying enzymes explores the critical balance between histone methyltransferase (HMT) and demethylase (HDM) activities. The research highlights how disruptions in these enzymatic processes can lead to the silencing of essential tumor suppressor genes and drive genomic instability in leukemic cells. By uncovering these molecular pathways, our group aims to contribute to the identification of novel biomarkers that could enhance diagnostic accuracy and provide clearer prognostic insights for pediatric patients.

This publication reflects the ongoing commitment of Nur Aziz’s Lab to advancing molecular oncology and bioinformatics. By mapping these complex epigenetic landscapes, we hope to pave the way for more effective, targeted therapeutic interventions that can improve survival rates and minimize the risk of relapse.
